Effective immediately the power supply NT-RME-2 (item no. 1000066) for Fireface UC, Fireface 400, etc.
will be replaced by the new improved power supply version NT-RME-12 (item no. 1001158).
The new power supply is still protection class 2, so it is completely isolated and usable even without
grounding. However, the leakage current that is unavoidable with switching power supplies is
dissipated via the ground pin of the new IEC socket, without the risk of hum loops that
usually occur by grounding.
