The SCHOEPS CMH is a wired handheld or soloist's microphone with particular immunity to plosive noise ("popping"). Because of its well-balanced frequency response it can also be used for speech pickup.
The directionality and the low-frequency rolloff of the SCHOEPS CMH microphones reduces the risk of feedback. Using the microphone at short distances increases the proportion of direct sound, and balances the built-in low-frequency rolloff with proximity effect.
The ”popping” effect on spoken consonants is substantially reduced by the built-in pop filter, and is even further reduced by the low-frequency rolloff of the microphone.
