The GS-CU001 is the most widely used commentary unit in the world. With facilities for 3 commentators, 5 monitoring inputs, 3 talk back circuits and mains or DC power, The layout and facilities of the GS-CU001 has become an industry standard, favoured by commentators and engineers around world sport and news.

Glensound have had more requests for modifications in the design of the GS-CU001 than on any other system.  This has led to 9 different versions all with a slight design enhancement to the standard unit.  The standard unit is the GS-CU001B, and is favoured by most, with the GS-CU001J close behind.  All versions are listed below.  Please let Glensound know if you would like them to consider your requirements for version 10!

The Mark II
During 2016 the GS-CU001 was upgraded and all versions became a MkII.  This added the following:
- 48v phantom power
- upgraded input gain pot
- input gain range increased from -20 to +10 dB
- GPOs on Mic and talkback buttons to allow integration with main intercom or talkback system
