Beskrivelse

Beatrice LH4 Visual Indicator Dante Network Intercom

This device uses Audinate’s Ultimo Chipset, which can receive 4 incoming audio channels, each at 48kHz.  However, this chipset can only receive these 4 audio channels from a maximum of 2 network locations (2 different devices).  This is common with any manufacturer that uses this chipset.

The Glensound Beatrice LH4 provides audio signal present and call indication via a bright LED ‘lighthouse’ tower, providing 360 degrees of visual signalling.

The Beatrice LH4 is ideal for providing cue/ on air indication to presenters and hosts using the standard Dante/AES67 network. The bright lighthouse LED tower can be set to illuminate on receipt of either an audio signal or a Beatrice 20kHz call signal from any of its 4 network audio inputs. Different colours/ brightness can be set by the user to be associated with each channel.

To make it easy to send audible instructions to the users an internal speaker and balanced XLR audio output are also included that through the configuration menu can pass audio from the Dante/AES67 network if required.

The Beatrice LH4 is in a compact unit with a bright lighthouse tower for signalling. There is an onboard configuration screen and it is PoE powered.

Trigger On Audio (Solid Colour)
Each of the 4 channels can be set individually to turn on the Lighthouse LEDs when they receive an audio signal. The length of time that the Lighthouse LEDs stay illuminated after the audio signal drops below its triggering threshold is user configurable.

Trigger On Call (Flash)
Each of the 4 channels can be set individually to flash the Lighthouse LEDs when they receive a Beatrice Call signal. The length of time that the Lighthouse LEDs continue to flash after the call signal has been received is user configurable.

Choice of Colours
Each channel can have its own Lighthouse LED illumination colour set by the user from any of the following colours: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple or Orange.

Two Brightness Levels
To allow the LH4 to work well in your environment there are two preset brightness levels allowing it to be seen in natural daylight and a studio setting.

Four Incoming Channels
The LH4 can receive incoming audio/ call circuits on up to 4 Dante/ AES67 channels. Each channel can have its own colour set to illuminate the lighthouse when it receives a trigger (be that audio or a call).

PLEASE NOTE: The LH4 uses the Ultimo chipset from Audinate and it can receive 4 audio channels but these can only be from a maximum of two network locations.

Tally/ Confidence Dante Audio Output Channel
So that the network location that has originated the call/sent audio to the LH4 can be confident that the LH4 has responded to its command and has turned on the lighthouse LEDs, a network audio output is provided. This output will send a repeating on/off tone when the LEDs are flashing for a call and a steady tone when the LEDs are illuminated for audio presence. The originator then only needs to monitor this outgoing network circuit to know that the LH4 has correctly responded.

Front Panel Display
A small backlight display is incorporated on the front panel to allow the user to access the settings menu. The backlight is only illuminated on this display when in setup mode.

PoE Powered
For ease of installation just one network cable provides both power (PoE) and audio to the LH4.

Internal Loudspeaker
A small loudspeaker is built into the LH4.The 4 incoming audio circuits are mixed together and sent to this loudspeaker with the front panel rotary encoder acting as a volume control. This small loudspeaker can be very useful for sending a verbal instruction to the user of the device. However to prevent accidental operation the internal loudspeaker can also be disabled in the setup menu.

Balanced Audio Output
The 4 incoming audio circuits are mixed together and sent to a balanced analogue output on standard 3 pin XLRs on the rear of the unit. This means that the LH4 could be used as a Dante/ AES67 to analogue converter/ mixer, but this output is more likely be used for sending monitoring audio to the users.

Network Audio Output
In addition to the tally/confidence network output, the audio that is being sent to the balanced analogue output is also duplicated and sent as a network output.

DC Loop Output
This DC loop output (GPO) is fed from an internal open collector. It becomes active when a call is received on any of the 4 channels.
